"rhythm" >>> Fake A Cubist Painting

Look at my final painting. What do you see in it? Maybe some circles, rectangles, triangles, and squares? Yes all of these geometric shapes are definietly there. But do you notice any actual objects in the painting?

Ok so maybe what would you think about if I told you the name of the painting is "rhythm." Its associated with music and lyrics. So now you can see the ipod, boom box, headphones, music sheet, record player, and all the other hidden objects.

Its weird how you can see the objects after you know what you are looking for. Well that is how the Cubists made their work. So you could see all sides to an object in one painting. The style of my painting is much more like Pablo Picasso. I gathered many different shapes together and hid objects inside of those shapes. Brauqe only made his objects out of geometric shapes and made his paintings not completely realistic.

The last picture on this post is my preplanning. i though of several different still lifes but i thought it would be interesting to draw the "modern day" musical instruments. Like in the 1900s all of the artists drew accordions, and violins, some of the things that are not quite as popular today.

I love my painting, and I can picture it hanging in a room. I showed it to my family and they had no idea I was using musical objects. None of them could find my objects until I told them what to look for. Which is the way I always view analytical cubism, which is very abstract in its own way,
