"Book Making :)" >>> Visual Haiku Study Books

All of my haiku studies books are completed. I made three of them, only because I have to have things perfect and I could not mix colors together. So I made one for atmospheres, black and white gestures, and stencils.

My background book:
All of the pages inside are suppose to look and feel like trees so I used a slice from a tree as the cover. My dad helped me chainsaw a piece of firewood this weekend.

My first time using coptic stitching. It actually came out pretty cool looking!

And some pages in the book. I love using this stitching because it allows the cover to fully open.

My Stencil Studies Book:

I love the cover for it, that is actually one of the stencils I had been using.
A page in the book. And I am using this method of putting texture under stencils on my paintings.
And I made pockets for all of my stencils. Well I put the best ones inside the book and you simply pull them out.

My Form & Gesture Studies book:
Just some little details of the book. Originally i planned to stab bind them but then I realized my birds would be cut off from the inch of sewn paper. So I resulted with this method instead, which I actually really like!
And the left side in the book was forms while the right side was gestures.

"Pre Planning Is Not Always The Best Idea" >>> Visual Haiku Process

I began sketching some thumbnails of how my paintings will ultimately look. And so far they do not look like these. Oh well, I'm just kind of guessing as i go.

My dad helped me cut some MDF board into 2 x 4 ft pieces.

and then i premiered them all and covered one with fabric.

"The Day We Waited For" >>> Inlfatopia Fair

Finally, we had our Inflatable fair. We had been working on it for weeks, but it all paid off and everything turned out GREAT!!! I really enjoyed working with the group I had. It was a wonderful group, that actually made me like group projects just a little bit!
