Life drawing - week 3

We are still in the process of learning the concepts of drawing. This was the best of the day using the boxed method.




This was the only drawing of the week that I got full values. We did not get much drawing tome this week due to the freezing weather and cancelled classes. But I really like the amount of values I used here.

Painting - fabric study

This was a project that we did purely as homework. For not having absolutely any help from my teacher the fabric turned out looking very realistic! I showed the process of my painting which I find very interesting to see what I have changed in the painting.  This oil painting is 16 x 20 inches. We are slowly getting larger in class. 

Painting - self portrait

My first time to ever use oil paints, we had to produce a black and white painting of ourself.   This is only 11 x 14 inches. I would say that I am about average in the class, there were some paintings that were just amazing, and some that did not look quite as good as mine, but I got an A on this one...very excited about that! :) 

Digital art - animal and floral grunge sketches

After my many attempts of drawing animals I decided my favorite of all was the leopard I did. These are my two final animals that I will be producing in illustrator. There are a few things from each that I really like and will combine them together on the computer.


These are some of my favorite floral grunge I produced on the second set. I spent some more time with the second set and it sure showed!

Life drawing - week 2

This was the first week for us to have a nude model and I really enjoy drawing it. I find the curves of the human figure quite interesting. Both if these drawings were done on the same day, but were the best from the week. The contour lime is really the first time I have ever done anything like that and it really teaches you to focus. I also really enjoy the dark shadows and tones placed in my other drawing.
