Painting - self portrait

Self portrait painting

My first time to ever use oil paints, we had to produce a black and white painting of ourself.   This is only 11 x 14 inches. I would say that I am about average in the class, there were some paintings that were just amazing, and some that did not look quite as good as mine, but I got an A on this one...very excited about that! :)

Digital art - animal and floral grunge sketches

After my many attempts of drawing animals I decided my favorite of all was the leopard I did. These are my two final animals that I will be producing in illustrator. There are a few things from each that I really like and will combine them together on the computer.

These are some of my favorite floral grunge I produced on the second set. I spent some more time with the second set and it sure showed! BlogBooster-The most productive way for mobile blogging. BlogBooster is a multi-service blog editor for iPhone, Android, WebOs and your desktop

Life drawing - week 2

This was the first week for us to have a nude model and I really enjoy drawing it. I find the curves of the human figure quite interesting. Both if these drawings were done on the same day, but were the best from the week. The contour lime is really the first time I have ever done anything like that and it really teaches you to focus. I also really enjoy the dark shadows and tones placed in my other drawing. BlogBooster-The most productive way for mobile blogging. Here are some of the first animals and floral grunge I did. They are the first set that were due, just some of the ones I thought were the best. BlogBooster-The most productive way for mobile blogging. BlogBooster is a multi-service blog editor for iPhone, Android, WebOs and your desktop

life drawing - week 1

This is my second drawing of the skeleton. We had 30 minutes to draw it and it turned out much more detailed than my previous drawing. It was quite a challenge to draw in the smallest sketchbook but I enjoyed it. It turned out much better than I thought it would. Oh and this is my first blog from my iPhone. Exciting!!

digital art - After Effects Practice

This is the first time I have ever used After Effects, and produced this little animation of a picture of a fish. I enjoyed playing with all of the different animations that you can set the image to do. I used almost every animation possible, and kind of organized them together o happen right after one another. This animation you are seeing is just a quick practice of what I did in class. If I ever have any free time, I will be sure to play with AFter Effects more to see how professional and interesting that I can make something look.

"New Everything!" >>> Spring 2011

I will be using my WASH blog from spring 2010 this semester! So expect new updates on all of my projects and artwork from ART 262 (digital art) and ART 164 (life drawing 1); they will both be combined on this blog. I am turning this blog in to the blog for my SHSU college career.
